w/c 3rd June: Sports week. The children will be taking part in a wide range of physical activities including running races, bat and ball games, dancing, yoga and much more. We will be learning about the effects physical activities have on our bodies and why exercise is good for us. For those going to school this year we will be practicing getting changed for PE if you can provide a t-shirt and shorts to change in to for this week only.
Saturday 8th June: Rye Hills Family Fun Day 11am-1pm. We are having a fun day for the families of children who attend our nursery, there will be a number of activities on offer including a bouncy castle, beat the goalie, name the teddy, tombola and guess how many sweets are in the jar. Food and drinks will be available to purchase. Raffle tickets are now on sale for £1 a strip with many great prizes including; jewellery. Perfume, Escape room experience, swim vouchers, soft play vouchers and restaurant vouchers. We are also having a parents bake off, if you would like an entry form please speak to Sam or Kirsty.
w/c 10th June: Healthy eating week. We will be learning all about different foods and how to have a healthy and balanced diet. This will include food tasting and exploring different foods.
Meanwhile, throughout the month of June the two’s room will be learning all about people who help us, whilst the Pre-schoolers are learning about professions, this is covering Doctors, Dentists, firefighters, teachers and much more.
On another note, a number of our girls took part in an 8 km bike ride the other week as part of an initiative to encourage team building and personal well-being within the workplace.
A big well done to all the girls who took part in the evening!
