February 27, 2019

Pancake Day: (Tuesday 5th March)

Throughout the Nursery we will be having pancakes for morning snack, with the children getting the chance to choose their own toppings for their pancake. We will also be learning about the tradition of Shrove Tuesday and why we eat pancakes on this day.

World Book Day: (Thursday 7th March)

On the 7th of March we invite all children to bring a book from home to nursery in order to share our favourite stories for World Book Day. The children can also wear fancy dress if they wish to. We will be developing our listening and reading skills as well as personal, social and emotional development through sharing our own books and being imaginative through dressing up and role-play.

Science Week: (Friday 8th - 15th March)

Throughout the week our Pre-schoolers will be taking part in a number of different science experiments incorporating their mathematical skills, as well as, their understanding of the world and technology.

Mothers Day 2019: (End of March)

The children will have the opportunity to make a card or gift for Mother’s Day, we will be talking about Mum’s and all the things they do for us.

Over the course of the coming months we will be taking part in a variety of activities for Spring; learning about growth and changes including baby animals and plants. We would love to have visits from baby animals at nursery, if you can help with this please let us know. We will be planting seeds in our allotment and learning how to care for them.

In April we will also be celebrating Easter with a variety of activities including egg hunts, making Easter biscuits and an egg decorating competition. If you would like to enter our decorate an egg competition please bring your egg in to nursery by Thursday 18th April (This can be a real egg, cardboard, polystyrene etc).
